Brief back ground history of Passingdang sec. School;- Govt. Sec. School Passingdang is situated in Passingdang village upper Dzongu North Sikkim. It is one hour drive from the District head quater Mangan North Sikkim. It was established as primary school in the year 1973 with 15 students. It was upgraded as JHS in the year 1978 and later on upgraded to present sec. School in the year 1997.The school is situated in the middle of three panchayat GPU because of which it became the hub of education of the entire upper Dzongu. School is also falicitated with one residential hostel being funded by SSA, Govt. Of Sikkim since 2016.It was being started to accommodate the 30 children of the landslide affected family of Lingthem, Lingdem, Mentam, Laven n Paneng area.
